Getting my hands dirty
I have been fortunate enough to spend most of my employment history completing work that I am passionate about. I have worked to maintain and protect public parks, harvest sustainable agriculture, and support students who needed extra help.
Patapsco Valley State Park Ranger (2019)
As a park ranger, I helped maintain the beauty of the different parts of the Patapsco Valley State Park. I had a wide range of responsibilities including preserving the beauty of the parks and ensuring visitors felt welcomed and safe.
Dickinson College Farm Student Farmer (2020)
During the first summer of the pandemic, I worked on the Dickinson College farm. I learned about how to practice sustainable agriculture. Because school was out of session, most of our produce went to Project Share, a local food bank.
Howard County Public Schools Para-educator (2014-2021)
I tutored high school students who have special needs. This began as a volunteer position, but after I graduated from high school, I became a HCPS salaried staff.
